2024 Pavement Maintenance Overlay SPECIAL PROVISIONS PW# 3823 71 1 2 DIVISION8.GR8 3 Division 8 4 Miscellaneous Construction 5 6 CNH 8-09.DOCX 7 8-09 RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS 8 (******) 9 10 8-09.1 Description 11 12 Section 8-09.1 is supplemented with the following: 13 14 At locations called for in the Appendices to the Special Provisions, the Work shall consist 15 of installing white and yellow pavement markers between skip lines or on centerline at 40’ 16 centers. Raised pavement markers shall meet the requirements of Section 8-09 and City 17 of Everett Standard Drawing 720. 18 19 At locations staked by the engineer, the Work shall consist of installing blue pavement 20 markers at each fire hydrant adjacent to the nearest yellow paint line, on the side of the 21 line that the hydrant is closest. Where multiple yellow lines exist, such as two way left turn 22 lane lines or painted islands, only one marker will be installed adjacent to the nearest 23 yellow paint line. 24 25 8-09.2 Materials 26 27 Section 8-09.2 is supplemented with the following: 28 29 White and yellow Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be selected from 30 approved materials listed in the WSDOT Qualified Products List. 31 32 Blue Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be bi-directional blue-blue with 33 abrasion resistant lens or coating and shall be one of the following: 34 1. 3M Series 290 Model 295-2B 35 2. Stimsonite Model 911-AB 36 37 8-09.3 Construction Requirements 38 39 Section 8-09.3 is supplemented with the following: 40 41 8-09.3(5) Asphalt Adhesives 42 43 Section 8-09.3(5) is supplemented with the following: 44 45 Adhesive for blue raised pavement markers on all hot mix asphalt surfaces shall be 46 bituminous conforming to the requirements of Section 9-02.1(8) and be Crafco 47 #34269 or approved equal, or, shall be Flint Premark Bundy Adhesive #8430055BK 48 5” by 5” installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. 49 50
