Correction#4: <br /> The existing bedroom is being converted to additional space for the west lobby. Wall Type <br /> "W2" providing a one-hour rating is specified only at the door infill. The following comments <br /> should be addressed: <br /> a. The wall type should be specified along all walls separating the dwelling from the lobby. <br /> See IBC Section 420.2. <br /> b.The drawings should include penetration details for the walls separating the dwelling and <br /> the lobby. See IBC Section 714.4. <br /> c. Wall Type "W2" indicates an STC rating of 30 to 34. However, the listed assembly GA <br /> File No. WP3605 does not indicate this rating. The walls separating the dwelling and the <br /> lobby are required to have a minimum rating of 50. See IBC Section 1206.2. <br /> Response#4: <br /> See sheet A-1.1 for wall types specified on detail 2, as well as, revised wall type "W2" to <br /> indicated STC rating of 50 minimum <br /> a. The new 1-hr rating and,wall type is specified on 2/A-1.1,see also"wall key"and "wall <br /> type"on right of sheet on A-1.1. <br /> b. See penetration details on sheet A-1.1. <br /> c. See updated GA File no.which reflects STC min 50 listed on wall type"W2". <br /> 5. Correction#5: <br /> The proposed construction will require repair to the horizontal assembly. The assembly <br /> requires a minimum one-hour construction. The required construction should be determined <br /> based on the configuration of the building, and a detail included in the construction drawings. <br /> See IBC Section 420.2 and Table 601. <br />
