Police and Fire Pension Board Minutes <br />City Of Everett <br />October 18, 2023 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Roll was called with all members voting yes except Board Member Franklin who was excused. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Fire Board <br /> <br />Moved by Neyens, seconded by Vitalich, to adopt a plan for $3265 per ear every 24 months <br />with a $50 allowance for batteries/accessories. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all members voting yes except Board Member Jorve, who voted no. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Neyens, seconded by Vitalich, to retro the hearing aid allowance to January 1, 2023. <br /> <br />Roll was called with all members voting yes except Board Member Franklin who was excused. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />VISION: <br /> <br />There were no proposed changes to the vision allowance, which is $550 annuals split between 1- <br />2 pairs of glasses and contact lenses with a $550 allowance in lieu of hardware for Lasik surgery. <br /> <br /> <br />DENTAL: <br /> <br />The current allowance for dental is $2000 per calendar year, + rollover of up to $2000 (not to <br />exceed $4000. The proposal is to grandfather the existing rollover balance, exclude preventive <br />care from allowance and increase to a $2500 annual allowance. All members who exceed or need <br />additional work can submit up to $4000 approval. <br /> <br />Police Board <br /> <br />Moved by Member Neighbors, seconded by Stonecipher, to adopt the proposed dental <br />allowance to grandfather the existing rollover balance, exclude preventive care from allowance <br />and increase to a $2500 annual allowance. All members who exceed or need additional work <br />can submit up to $4000 approval. <br /> <br /> <br />
