E. The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of plans and/or specifications shall <br /> not prevent the Building official or designee from thereafter requiring the correction <br /> of errors in said plans and/or specifications or from preventing construction operation <br /> being carried on thereunder when in violation of this Code or of any other ordinance, <br /> law or regulations or from revoking any certificate of approval when issued in error. <br /> F. Further, any person, firm or corporation that violates a provision of chapter 19.28 <br /> RCW, chapter 296-46 or 296-401A WAC is liable for a civil penalty based upon the <br /> following schedule: <br /> (9) Covering or concealing First Offense: $500 <br /> installations prior to inspection Second Offense: $1,000 <br /> Each Additional: <br /> Offense: $2,000 <br /> (10) Failing to make corrections with First Offense: $250 <br /> fifteen days of notification by the Second Offense: $500 <br /> department. Exception: Where an Each Additional <br /> extension has been requested and Offense: $1000 <br /> granted,this penalty applies to <br /> corrections not completed within the <br /> extended time period. <br /> (11) Failing to obtain an electrical work First Offense: $250 <br /> permit prior to beginning the installation Home Owner: $50 <br /> or alteration. Exception: In cases of Second Offense: $500 <br /> emergency repairs to exiting electrical Each Additional <br /> systems,this penalty will not be charged Offense: $1000 <br /> if the permit is obtained no later than the <br /> business day following completion of the <br /> emergency repair. <br /> Section 7: AUTHORITY TO ABATE. <br /> A. Any violation of this ordinance, the codes or regulations herein adopted is hereby <br /> declared to be nuisance. <br /> B. Where a nuisance exists, the City Attorney on behalf of the City is authorized to <br /> institute injunction mandamus, or other appropriate action or proceeding to prevent the <br /> violation of this ordinance. <br /> C. Notwithstanding paragraph B, the City Attorney is authorized to apply to any court <br /> of competent jurisdiction for and such court, upon hearing and for cause shown, may grant a <br /> temporary or permanent injunction restraining any person, firm, and/or corporation from <br /> violating any provision of this ordinance or the codes herein adopted and compelling <br /> compliance herewith. The cost of such action shall be taxed against the violator. <br /> 8 <br />
