A copy of the accepted traffic control plan, see Section 1-10.2(2), detailing each 2 day’s traffic control as it relates to the specific requirements of that day’s planing 3 and paving. Briefly describe the sequencing of traffic control consistent with the 4 proposed planing and paving sequence, and scheduling of placement of 5 temporary pavement markings and channelizing devices after each day’s planing, 6 and paving. 7 2. A copy of each intersection’s traffic control plan. 8 3. Haul routes from Supplier facilities, and locations of temporary parking and 9 staging areas, including return routes. Describe the complete round trip as it 10 relates to the sequencing of paving operations. 11 4. Names and locations of HMA Supplier facilities to be used. 12 5. List of all equipment to be used for paving. 13 6. List of personnel and associated job classification assigned to each piece of 14 paving equipment. 15 7. Description (geometric or narrative) of the scheduled sequence of planing and of 16 paving, and intended area of planing and of paving for each day’s work, must 17 include the directions of proposed planing and of proposed paving, sequence of 18 adjacent lane paving, sequence of skipped lane paving, intersection planing and 19 paving scheduling and sequencing, and proposed notifications and coordinations 20 to be timely made. The plan must show HMA joints relative to the final pavement 21 marking lane lines. 22 8. Names, job titles, and contact information for field, office, and plant supervisory 23 personnel. 24 9. A copy of the approved Mix Designs. 25 10. Tonnage of HMA to be placed each day. 26 11. Approximate times and days for starting and ending daily operations. 27 28 5-04.3(14)B3 Pre-Paving and Pre-Planing Briefing 29 At least 2 Working Days before the first paving operation and the first planing operation, 30 or as scheduled by the Engineer for future paving and planing operations to ensure the 31 Contractor has adequately prepared for notifying and coordinating as required in the 32 Contract, the Contractor must be prepared to discuss that day’s operations as they relate 33 to other entities and to public safety and convenience, including driveway and business 34 access, garbage truck operations, Metro transit operations and working around 35 energized overhead wires, school and nursing home and hospital and other accesses, 36 other contractors who may be operating in the area, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and 37 emergency services. The Contractor, and Subcontractors that may be part of that day’s 38 operations, must meet with the Engineer and discuss the proposed operation as it 39 relates to the submitted planing plan and paving plan, approved traffic control plan, and 40 public convenience and safety. Such discussion includes, but is not limited to: 41 42 1. General for both Paving Plan and for Planing Plan: 43 a. The actual times of starting and ending daily operations. 44 b. In intersections, how to break up the intersection, and address traffic control 45 and signalization for that operation, including use of peace officers. 46
