The sequencing and scheduling of paving operations and of planing operations, 1 as applicable, as it relates to traffic control, to public convenience and safety, 2 and to other con-tractors who may operate in the Project Site. 3 d. Notifications required of Contractor activities, and coordinating with other 4 entities and the public as necessary. 5 e. Description of the sequencing of installation and types of temporary pavement 6 markings as it relates to planning and to paving. 7 f. Description of the sequencing of installation of, and the removal of, temporary 8 pavement patch material around exposed castings and as may be needed 9 g. Description of procedures and equipment to identify hidden metal in the 10 pavement, such as survey monumentation, monitoring wells, street car rail, and 11 castings, before planning, see Section 5-04.3(14)B2. 12 h. Description of how flaggers will be coordinated with the planing, paving, and 13 related operations. 14 i. Description of sequencing of traffic controls for the process of rigid pavement 15 base repairs. 16 j. Other items the Engineer deems necessary to address. 17 2. Paving – additional topics: 18 a. When to start applying tack and coordinating with paving. 19 b. Types of equipment and numbers of each type equipment to be used. If more 20 pieces of equipment than personnel are proposed, describe the sequencing of 21 the personnel operating the types of equipment. Discuss the continuance of 22 operator personnel for each type equipment as it relates to meeting 23 Specification requirements. 24 c. Number of JMFs to be placed, and if more than one JMF how the Contractor 25 will ensure different JMFs are distinguished, how pavers and MTVs are 26 distinguished if more than one JMF is being placed at the time, and how 27 pavers and MTVs are cleaned so that one JMF does not adversely influence 28 the other JMF. 29 d. Description of contingency plans for that day’s operations such as equipment 30 breakdown, rain out, and Supplier shutdown of operations. 31 e. Number of sublots to be placed, sequencing of density testing, and other 32 sampling and testing. 33 34 5-04.3(15) Sealing Pavement Surfaces 35 Apply a fog seal where shown in the plans. Construct the fog seal in accordance with 36 Section 5-02.3. Unless otherwise approved by the Engineer, apply the fog seal prior to 37 opening to traffic. 38 39 5-04.3(16) HMA Road Approaches 40 HMA approaches shall be constructed at the locations shown in the Plans or where 41 staked by the Engineer.
