Edgewater Creek Bridge Replacement November 2023 27 3. Fabrication of the products: 1 2 a. Spinning wire into cable or strand. 3 4 b. Corrugating and rolling into culverts. 5 6 c. Shop fabrication. 7 8 A certification of materials origin will be required for any items comprised of, or containing, 9 steel or iron construction materials prior to such items being incorporated into the 10 permanent work. The certification shall be on WSDOT Form 350-109 provided by the 11 Engineer, or such other form the Contractor chooses, provided it contains the same 12 information as WSDOT Form 350-109. 13 14 Manufactured Products 15 Due to a nationwide waiver, BABA requirements do not apply to manufactured products. 16 17 Construction Material Requirements 18 A Contractor provided certification of materials origin will be required before each 19 progress estimate or payment. The Contractor will not receive payment until the 20 certification is received by the Engineer. The Contractor shall certify that all construction 21 materials installed during the current progress estimate period meets the Build America, 22 Buy America Act. The certification shall be on WSDOT Form 350-110 provided by the 23 Engineer, or such other form the Contractor chooses, provided it contains the same 24 information as WSDOT Form 350-110. 25 26 1-06.6.RTF 27 1-06.6 Recycled Materials 28 (January 4, 2016 APWA GSP) 29 30 Delete this section, including its subsections, and replace it with the following: 31 32 The Contractor shall make their best effort to utilize recycled materials in the construction 33 of the project. Approval of such material use shall be as detailed elsewhere in the 34 Standard Specifications. 35 36 Prior to Physical Completion the Contractor shall report the quantity of recycled materials 37 that were utilized in the construction of the project for each of the items listed in Section 38 9-03.21. The report shall include hot mix asphalt, recycled concrete aggregate, recycled 39 glass, steel furnace slag and other recycled materials (e.g. utilization of on-site material 40 and aggregates from concrete returned to the supplier).
