Please review and respond to the comments below.
OUTSTANDING ISSUES
1. Previous records indicate that the construction of the exterior shell structure
and framing has not received a final building inspection nor a Certificate of
Occupancy issued from the original building permit, B0604-051. Records
indicate that the original building has been expired and sent to archives on July
31,2012. As a result, since no occupancy has been granted, the structure
would be considered an unoccupied structure and is subject to the current
building code requirements as it applies to new construction. Please include
additional construction plans and details outlining that the existing building
components comply with the current iteration of the IBC as it applies to new
construction. IBC 106.2.1.
Architect response: See below follow-up meeting notes by James Bronder.
We have demonstrated that the existing shell structure are in compliance with
the requirements of the building code (IBC) at the time of the original permit
submittal. We have added previously permitted drawings (2003 IBC code
PERMIT SERVICES summary and UL Details) on sheets A0.7,A0.8 and A0.9 for your reference.
New exterior work shall be constructed to the current code requirements.
0 3200CedarStreet Where exterior cladding is being modified along the existing shell, it is
Everett,WA 98201 permitted that this cladding demonstrate compliance with the IBC 2003.
ak 425.257.8810 See Structural response letter and drawings for structural compliance.
We 425.257.8857 fax
Oeveretteps@everettwa.gov
everettwa.gov/permits
1 \ 1-;
