Upon our arrival on site, we met with the contractor and discussed reinforcing steel placement locations and details. Today, we observed the placement of reinforcing steel for ten (10) spot footings located within approximate gridlines 7-9/B-E that will be used to support the second level/mezzanine. We verified the placement of reinforcing steel for size, grade, count, spacing, clearances, lap, bar cleanliness, and general overall placement. In our opinion, the reinforcing steel for the spot footings was placed in general accordance to the approved structural plans and specifications. For more details, see page S2.0 in the approved project plans.
