EVERETT
WASHINGTON
PERMIT SERVICES
September 16, 2022
Manford Chu
Manford@ihbarchitects.com
IHB Architects
21620 841h Ave S, STE 200
Kent, WA 98032
Owner: Seattle Bethany Church — Aleksandr Naumchik
Project Address: 6900 Wetmore Ave
Plan Check No: B2204-035
RE: Building Permit Review Letter
Dear Manford,
In response to the application for a building permit, the plans have been
examined and you are advised that revisions may be necessary before a permit
can be issued. Please review and respond to the comments below.
OUTSTANDING ISSUES
1. Previous records indicate that the construction of the exterior shell structure
and framing has not received a final building inspection nor a Certificate of
Occupancy issued from the original building permit, B0604-051. Records
indicate that the original building has been expired and sent to archives on July
31, 2012. As a result, since no occupancy has been granted, the structure
would be considered an unoccupied structure and is subject to the current
building code requirements as it applies to new construction. Please include
additional construction plans and details outlining that the existing building
components comply with the current iteration of the IBC as it applies to new
construction. IBC 106.2.1.
2. The Digital Record Archives of this project indicate outstanding construction
issues that have not been resolved dating from April 2007 during the initial
construction of the project. Please refer to attached. Please also have these
issues resolved by the design team and included in the construction plans for
this permit in addition to the intended proposed interior TI work as this
concerns the state of the building envelope and structure (refer to Item 1).
ARCHITECTURAL
Q3200 Cedar Street
1. On Sheet A0.2, the proposed mezzanine/storage space appears to indicate a
Everett, WA 98201
Group A-3 occupancy for the space. However, an occupant load of 6 is being
proposed. Please confirm that a higher occupant load for the space is not
425.257.88
425.257.8857 fax
required and that an S1 occupancy is intended for the space. Please update
plans as required. IBC 107.2.1.
® everetteps@everettwa.gov
everettwa.gov/permits
2. On Sheet A0.2, the proposed Classroom 2 with the enclosure of movable
partitions does not have an exit access doorway and door. An exit access
Page 1 of 3
