May 22, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo commented on his attendance at the Pinehurst - Beverly Park <br />neighborhood meeting and the Snohomish County Tomorrow Steering Committee meeting. <br /> <br />President Schwab commented on his attendance at the Harborview – Seahurst – Glenhaven <br />neighborhood meeting and commented on the Boeing firefighter strike. <br /> <br />Council members congratulated Susy Haugen on her retirement and congratulated new Finance <br />Director Heide Brillantes. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided updates on the following: State <br />changes related to public defenders, recorded meetings, vehicle noise, and the Memorial Day <br />ceremony at the Port of Everett. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall stated he is working with Planning staff to update the Everett Municipal <br />Code to allow birth centers on ground floors as requested last week. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8026 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$2,706,552.46 for the period ending May 4, 2024, through May 10, 2024. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – PAYROLL CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8027 authorizing payroll claims against the City of Everett in the <br />amount of $5,428,165.51 for the period ending May 4, 2024. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT – SALE OF 1st PLACE WEST <br /> <br />To approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement and authorization of the sale of 1st Place West <br />to AMA Ventures, LLC.
