SECTION 01 29 73 <br />SCHEDULE OF VALUES <br />PART1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Section Includes requirements for the Schedule of values including applicability, general <br />provisions, and format, organization, and content for the Schedules of Values. <br />1.02 PRICE AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES <br />A. Schedule of Values and Payment — General: <br />1. Contractor shall prepare and submit to Engineer for acceptance a Schedule of Values that <br />presents (a) an appropriate, detailed breakdown of the price of lump sum bid/pay items, <br />and (b) an appropriate, detailed breakdown of the price of Work compensated on the basis <br />of Cost of the Work plus a fee, and (c) lists bid/pay items of Unit Price Work. The total of all <br />Work among the various bid/pay items shall equal the Contract Price. <br />2. Furnish data and information that substantiates and supports the amounts indicated in the <br />Schedule of Values. <br />3. Submit a preliminary Schedule of Values to Engineer for initial review. Contractor shall <br />incorporate Engineer's comments into the Schedule of Values and resubmit to Engineer. <br />Engineer may require corrections and re -submittals until the Schedule of Values is <br />acceptable. <br />4. Schedule of Values may be used, where appropriate, as a basis for negotiating price of <br />changes in the Work. <br />B. Applicability: <br />1. Lump Sum Work: <br />a. For Work paid on a lump sum basis, progress payments will be on the basis of Work <br />performed in accordance with the Contract Documents, for each line item in the <br />Schedule of Values, as accepted by the Engineer.. <br />2. Unit Price Work: <br />a. Breakdown of unit prices (whether in a Schedule of Values or elsewhere) into detailed <br />cost or price components is not required. <br />b. Unit Price Work will be measured for payment in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents, including Section 01 22 00 Measurement and Payment. <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Procedures: Section 01 33 00. <br />1. Submit to Engineer the Schedule of Values in the form and quantity required in Section 01 <br />33 00 - Submittals, and in accordance with electronic communication protocols. <br />2. Schedule of Values: <br />a. Submit a preliminary Schedule of Values. <br />b. Revise the preliminary Schedule of Values in accordance with Engineer's comments to <br />create the final (aka baseline) Schedule of Values. <br />c. Contractor will not be eligible for progress payment until the final Schedule of Values is <br />acceptable to Engineer. <br />d. Not less than 10 days before submission of the first Application for Payment, a <br />conference, attended by Contractor, Engineer, and others as appropriate, will be held <br />to review the preliminary Schedule of Values submitted. Promptly after the conference, <br />Contractor shall revise the preliminary Schedule of Values, in accordance with <br />Engineer's comments, and submit to Engineer the acceptable Schedule of Values. <br />e.
