Exhibit A (Scope of Work)
• Initial State Clean Building Performance Standard (CBPS) Compliance Review: We would perform the
analysis to provide a weather normalized EUI for each building, and compare to the adjusted EUI target
for each building. This would identify whether additional energy savings measures would be required for
compliance.
Compensation:
Design Service MACC Fee Basis Fee
South Police Precinct - Basic Design $ 73,150
South Police Precinct – Electric Metering $ 1,300
South Police Precinct – CBPS Compliance $ 4,200
Reimbursable Items (see below*) $ 8,470
Sub Total $ 87,120
DESIGN CONTINGENCY FEE (IF REQUIRED)
Additional Services that may be needed based upon any issues that surface during the design and
construction of the project as approved Only In Writing and signed by the authorized City
representative:
TOTAL CONTINGENCY FEE $ 9,880
TOTAL FEE $ 97,000
2024 HOURLY BILLING RATES (additional staff performing work)
Project Designer $ 110.00
CAD Technician $ 100.00
Clerical $ 70.00
Possible Added Services:
Possible Added Services that the City may choose to include:
1. Added Site Visits: Depending on the qualifications of the Contractor performing the work of this
project, as well as the complexity of the building systems, more site visits may be necessary to allow
adequate review of the work being performed than is included in the Basic Services. The number of site
visits in our basic proposal has been quantified to match the fee provided (which is based on State fee
guidelines). We would propose an added fee of $600 per additional site visit.
Assumptions/Qualifiers:
1. We assume that as-builts of the building and the mechanical and electrical systems are available, and
are reasonably accurate. We have included time for field reviews of the buildings but not time to create
as-builts of the existing systems.
2. Any past hazardous material surveys will be provided by the City.
