The estimated <br />design cost is not to exceed $97,000. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett intends to replace the HVAC controls systems at the South Police Precinct. <br />The current system is no longer responsive to user inputs and has become inefficient. The <br />replacement of these old control systems will make the buildings much more efficient to heat <br />and air condition. Additionally, this work will help to bring the building in line with the new <br />Washington State Clean Building Performance Standards and will provide a much more improved <br />working environment for City employees and the public that utilize this building. <br /> <br />The scope of service includes complete design services for the entire 1st floor HVAC controls <br />system at the South Police Precinct. Upon completion of the design work, Parks & Facilities staff <br />will return to City Council to amend the Ordinance for construction. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Hultz BHU <br />Engineers Inc. to provide Architectural and Engineering Services for the South Police <br />Precinct HVAC Controls Replacement Project. <br />
