June 5, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Fosse, seconded by Council Member Schwab, to work with the City <br />Attorney to draft an ordinance placing a measure on the ballot in November 2024 to raise the <br />minimum wage in the City. City Attorney Hall stated he would work with Council Member Fosse <br />to draft such an ordinance. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo provided comments regarding gathering spaces and his attendance at <br />Puget Sound Regional Council. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided updates on the job order contracting <br />process, funding information regarding the proposed Clark Park ordinance on tonight’s agenda <br />and an update regarding the City website. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall had no update. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8033 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$1,215,780.71 for the period ending May 18, 2024, through May 24, 2024. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – PAYROLL CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8034 authorizing payroll claims against the City of Everett in the <br />amount of $5,414,845.14 for the period ending May 18, 2024. <br /> <br />PURCHASE - PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION <br /> <br />To award and authorize the purchase of playground equipment and installation with Landscape <br />Structures, Inc. and Northwest Playground Equipment, Inc. from King County Directors’ <br />Association #22-315/City of Everett #2022-069, in the estimated amount of $388,155.47 <br />including Washington state sales tax.
