I was shown a photo of bow
the conglomeration Iadded upon Bruce Melton's, with Plumb Pros LEE, initial site visit. I will try to explain bow the two
shown pieces fit together. The cast iron was stubbed out of the Lou ntlation with the concrete bell mortared onto the
downstream side. The white PVC reducer was placed over the spigot end of the concrete attached to the cast iron. No
glue, mortar or sealant was used to connect the PVC to the concrete. The plumber told me it was clear that tb is
connection point had been leaking fir some time. Attached to the PVC reducer is a length of polypropylene flex drain
e. It appears that the flex pipe was necessary to connect the repair to the original concrete sewer line as a significant
IiS'r shaped bend was applied Again, there is no permit history for this work and none of this woultl have passed any
Inspection.
