Regartlingtbe age of this repair, there is evitlence that it was completed within the time span of the current owner's
arch pancy of the property. The cast iron stub exits the foundation above grade which also put the repair above grade.
This fact made the PVC reducer and polypropylene flex pipe exposed to the atmosphere and therefore the influence of
UV rays. Roth PVC and polypropylene will experience visible degradation and structural detenoration when exposed to
UV rays after 2-5 years. The photos attached show little to no evidence of surface discoloration or deterioration. If this
repair was made at the time of the connection to the City sewer system, these materialswoultl haves gi
evidence of UV damage. The current owner purchased the property in 2001, the lack of UV degradation is strong
evidence that this repair was made either by or directed by the current owner.
According to Mr. Melton, be also contacted the City of Everett sewer department and got some assistance there. I
recommend reaching out to either Bard Olbava or Chris Grenznep both Sewer and Drainage Public Works Supervisors, to
obta In any information they may have that LeAoi nstotb is situation.
If I can help in any other way, please reach out further.
Thank you,
Andy Erickson
0
0
0
p
]IDYer Smer
]2➢Yev SIY/m
]2➢Yev Scwv
]2➢Yer Smer
PeW^LPG
RI LPG
M" AIPG
Lai
From: Tony Lee <FLeePeverettwaaozn
Sent Friday, March 22, 20246:54 AM
To: Andrew L Erickson <AErickso@everettwasozn
Cc: Steve Banks<SRanks@everettwa.gov
Subject: 7227 Yew A
Category 2Senzleve 4orrather
Xi Andy
Regarding the side sewer replacement at 7227 Yew, can Id you please capture any of your recol lections that you had
during the inspection process that were not record so in the typical inspection notes on fil eP Meaning outside of the
stan card (inspected/approvetl( type of comments, what are your thoughts/insights on the system that was in place prior
to this l atest repair?
