June 12, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., June 12, 2024, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Zarlingo recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the June 5, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin issued a proclamation declaring June 2024 Ride Transit Month. She also provided <br />an update on the proposed Project Labor Agreement ordinance. She thanked everyone for a <br />successful Sorticulture last weekend and stated Everett Pride is this upcoming weekend. <br />Mayor Franklin welcomed Deputy Fire Chief Paul Gagnon to introduce new firefighters: Tyler <br />Battrick, Zachary Bunch, Hunter Campbell, Steven Clemetson, Brianna Harvey, Joel Hernandez, <br />Chad Larson, Dylan LaVelle, Junious Lockette, Kyle Nobach, Jonathan Poyner, Cole Soli <br />(Paramedic), Jared Stilwill, Brian Thoma (Paramedic), and Moleni Vanisi. <br />President Schwab administered a Fire Department oath for the new firefighters. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received one (1) written comment and the following members of the public spoke: Josh <br />Herschlip, Kerri Lonergan-Dreke, and John Lane. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Rhyne provided updates from the Glacier View and Port Gardner neighborhood <br />meetings. She stated Everett Station District Alliance Town Hall Day is next Thursday. She also <br />stated she attended Sorticulture. <br />Council Member Bader provided an update on Puget Sound Regional Council Growth <br />Management meeting. He also provided an update from the Riverside neighborhood meeting.
