EXHIBIT A1 <br />City of Everett – Replacement of Reservoir 3 <br />Contract Amendment No 1 10 Scope of Services <br />a. The budget for this task is based upon preparing and processing 10 Field Orders. <br />Actual preparation and processing time may vary depending upon the complexity of <br />the Field Order. It is estimated that, on average, it will take 2 hours of HDR team <br />member time to prepare and process each Field Order. <br />4. Change Proposal Requests <br />a. The budget for this sub-task is based upon preparing, processing, and negotiating <br />pricing of 10 Change Proposal Requests. Actual preparation, processing, and review <br />may vary depending upon the complexity of the Change Proposal Request. It is <br />estimated that, on average, it will take 8 hours of Consultant team member time to <br />prepare, process, and review for each Change Proposal Request. <br />5. Work Change Directives <br />a. The budget for this task is based upon preparing and processing 10 Work Change <br />Directives. Actual preparation, processing, and review time may vary depending <br />upon the complexity of the Work Change Directive. On average, it is estimated that it <br />will take 8 hours of Consultant team member time to prepare, process, and review <br />each Work Change Directive. <br />6. Change Orders <br />a. The fee for this task is based upon preparing and processing 5 Change Orders. <br />Actual preparation and processing response time may vary depending upon the <br />complexity of the Change Order. It is estimated that, on average, it will take 12 hours <br />of Consultant team member time to prepare and process each Change Order. <br />7. Pre-Construction Conference <br />a. Pre-Construction Conference will occur at the project site and 12 hours have been <br />budgeted for a consultant staff member for preparation, attendance and meeting <br />note preparation. <br />8. Weekly Construction Progress Meetings <br />a. Weekly Construction Progress Meetings will occur at the Contractor’s <br />construction trailer at the project site; and will involve up to 2 HDR team <br />members, and each meeting will last up to 1 hour each. One Consultant team <br />member will attend by phone. We have budgeted 4 hours for each Weekly <br />Construction Progress Meeting. <br />b. Up to 75 progress meetings are included for this task. <br />9. Field visits are assumed to be 2 hours in duration attended by up to two HDR staff. 4 <br />hours has been budgeted for each attendee for each field visit. It is assumed that field <br />visits will occur once a month for the duration of onsite construction activities (assumed <br />to be 18 months). <br />a. Consultant’s observation of the work performed under the construction contract <br />shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility for performing work in accordance <br />with applicable contract documents. <br />b. Consultant shall not control or have charge of, and shall not be responsible for <br />construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, procedures of <br />construction, health or safety programs or precautions connected with the work <br />and shall not manage, supervise, control or have charge of construction.
