Chapter 19.04 EMC, Definitions Page 10 of 55 <br />The Everett Municipal Code is current through Ordinance 4031-24, passed May 22, 2024. <br />“Water-dependent” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett shoreline <br />master program. <br />“Water-dependent use” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett <br />shoreline master program. <br />“Water-related uses” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett <br />shoreline master program. <br />“Zone” means a specifically delineated area within the city, which is indicated on the zoning <br />map, within which regulations and requirements uniformly govern the use, location and size of <br />buildings and land. <br />“Zoning map” means the map adopted by the city showing the geographic location of zones <br />within the municipal boundaries. (Ord. 3963-23 § 1, 2023; Ord. 3896-22 § 1, 2022; Ord. 3774-20 § 5(D) (Exh. <br />3), 2020.) <br />19.04.030 Lot, building, and structure definitions. <br />“Antenna” means any exterior apparatus or apparatuses designed for telephonic, radio, data, <br />internet, or other communications through the sending and/or receiving of electromagnetic <br />waves or radio frequency signals, including without limitation equipment attached to a tower or <br />building for the purpose of providing personal wireless services. <br />“Awning—canopy” means a fixed-roofed structure, with open sides, which provides shade or <br />protection and is in whole or in part self-supporting. <br />“Binding site plan” means a drawing to a scale specified by local ordinance which: (1) identifies <br />and shows the areas and locations of all streets, roads, improvements, utilities, open spaces, <br />and any other matters specified by local regulations; (2) contains inscriptions or attachments <br />setting forth such appropriate limitations and conditions for the use of the land as are <br />established by the local government body having authority to approve the site plan; and (3) <br />contains provisions making any development be in conformity with the site plan. <br />“Blank wall” means exterior ground floor walls of buildings visible from a street or publicly <br />accessible open space that are over four feet in height with a horizontal length greater than <br />fifteen feet, and do not include a window, door, building modulation or other architectural
