July 10, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., July 10, 2024, by <br />President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Fosse recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the June 26, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin thanked everyone for successful 4th of July festivities. She also noted a variety of <br />upcoming summer events. Mayor Franklin also provided resources for meals for kids through <br />Everett School District and spoke on Police recruitment. <br />OATH – POLICE OFFICER <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Bader, to concur with the <br />appointment of Tycen Johnson as a new police officer. <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office, Mayor Franklin pinned the officer with their badge, <br />and Council members congratulated Officer Johnson. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received four (4) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Annie Fitzgerald, Alan Miller, and Jeff Kelly.
