Please review and <br />respond to the comments below. <br />NON STRUCTURAL <br />General <br />1. The intermediate floor is classified as a story as it does not comply with the separation of <br />egress requirements for a mezzanine that is not open to the story below (two means of <br />egress would be required per Section 505.2.3). No action required — FYI for plan review <br />purposes. <br />2. The combination of mercantile and assembly uses on the first story require a minimum of <br />6 toilets for each sex. The method of compliance should be clarified. Section 2902.1 <br />For the sleeping rooms in the units on sheets AB450, AB451 & AB457: <br />a. The rooms should be provided with a smoke detector. Section 907.2.11.2 <br />b. The method of providing natural ventilation for the interior sleeping rooms should <br />be provided on the plans. The ventilation should be exclusive of any opening <br />between adjoining rooms that may be closed off. Section 1203.5.1 <br />4. The plans should show the special inspection requirements for the stairway pressurization <br />systems.
