suitable fittings shall be used. <br /> Section 19 E : The ends of all screw joint soil <br /> and waste pipe must be reamed to remove any burr that may be <br /> caused by cutting off so as to leave a smooth full«sized interior <br /> 1 opening before screwing home. All threads on screw joint soil and <br /> 2 waste pipe pe must be cut so as to screw up to the shoulder of the <br /> 3 <br /> fitting. The threads of all recessed fittings must be tapped so <br /> as to give a uniform fall of 1/4 inch per lineal foot to all <br /> branches from fixture toward the main soil or waste pipe. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Section 19 F : All nipples, the unthreaded part of <br /> 8 which is less than 1 '4 inches in length, shall be of extra <br /> 9 heavy pipe. All couplings used in screw joint soil or waste <br /> 10 pipe shall be recessed couplings. <br /> 11 <br /> Section 19 G : Screw joint soil or waste pipe <br /> 12 will not be permitted under ground, under basement floors nor <br /> 13 <br /> in ducts under basement floors and may be used as house drains <br /> 14 <br /> only when such house drain is entirely above the basement floor. <br /> 15 <br /> All horizontal lines of screw joint soil or waste pipe must be <br /> 16 <br /> supported at every 10 feet of its length. Vertical lines of <br /> 17 <br /> such pipe must be supported with substantial supports at each <br /> 18 <br /> floor. In buildings three ar more stories in height it shall <br /> 19 <br /> have substantial iron supports at each floor, and substantial <br /> 20 <br /> supports at the foot of each vertical stack. When horizontal <br /> 21 <br /> lines are hung below a ceiling they must be hung with substantial <br /> 22 <br /> iron hangers. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Section 19 H : All main lines of screw joint soil <br /> 25 or waste p ipe shall be extended full size through and 10 inches <br /> 26 above the roof.
