July 17, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Council received no written comments and the following members of the public spoke: Jeremy <br />Olson. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne commented on her attendance at Salty Sea Days, and the Lowell <br />Neighborhood Association meeting. She also requested information about composting and <br />recycling options at special events with the styrofoam ban approaching. She also stated Saturday <br />the Port Gardner Neighborhood is having their community yard sale event, and Everett Station <br />District Alliance is hosting their clean-up event at the Transit Station. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader commented on his attendance at the Library Board meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Touhy provided an update from the Sno911 Board of Directors monthly <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli congratulated new Everett Police Officer Brett Gailey, and spoke on <br />housing sales and costs. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo commented on his attendance at the Parks and Quality of Life <br />Committee meeting and Snohomish County Law and Justice Counsel meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided information on the concerns with <br />bamboo near Forgotten Creek. She also provided a brief update related to the two initiatives that <br />were submitted by private groups to the City, and the policy and procedures of processing <br />submissions. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall requested a 30-minute executive session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110.1(i) <br />to provide an overview of legal matters, with no council action to follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />
