August 7, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Bader who <br />abstained. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy spoke about the Mayor’s Drug Task Force and the Health and Human <br />Services Committee meeting and commented on her attendance at National Night Out. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne commented on her attendance at National Night Out and the Health and <br />Human Services Committee meeting. She also commented on the voter rejection of Proposition <br />1. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader commented on his attendance at National Night Out. <br /> <br />President Schwab commented on his attendance at National Night Out. He also asked staff to <br />investigate the light program at Beverly Lane and signage where Harborview Park meets the <br />railroad. He thanked the Mayor, Council, and City staff for the hard work on Proposition 1. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided updates on the budget process. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Hil Kaman had no comments. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8056 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $2,251,144.07 for the period ending July 20, 2024, through July 26, 2024. <br /> <br /> <br />
