Section 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />City of Everett 00 11 13-2 June 2024 <br />WFP Air Scour Blower Building Replacement Issued for Bid <br />UP3813 <br />9. Provide site improvements, such as drainage piping and crushed surfacing top course. <br /> <br />A pre-bid meeting will be held at the City of Everett’s Water Filtration Plant located at 6133 Lake <br />Chaplain Road, Monroe, WA 98272-7821 on June 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the project. <br />Attendance is voluntary for all prospective bidders. The meeting will also include a site walk. <br /> <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders <br />List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and <br />clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room <br />provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, <br />order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take- <br />off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail <br />notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List”. <br />Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to <br />periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders <br />Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or <br />registration. <br /> <br />All bids/proposals must be made upon the City forms provided in the bidding documents and <br />must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less <br />than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid/proposal, all in accordance with the bidding <br />documents. A one hundred percent (100%) performance bond (and a one hundred percent <br />(100%) payment bond, as may be required in the bidding documents), on form(s) provided by <br />the City, will be required of the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the <br />contract. <br /> <br /> <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids/proposals and to waive any irregularities or <br />informalities. Except as may be provided in the Contract Documents, no Bidder may withdraw <br />his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. <br /> <br />The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the <br />City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of 45 days after bid <br />opening. <br /> <br />The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations <br />pertaining to equal employment opportunities. <br /> <br />The City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. <br />2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively <br />ensure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged <br />business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this <br />invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in <br />consideration for an award. <br /> <br />By order of the City Council, Everett, Washington. <br />END OF SECTION 00 11 13
