Section 01 35 29 HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> <br />City of Everett 01 35 29-3 June 2024 <br />WFP Air Scour Blower Building Replacement Issued for Bid <br />UP3813 <br />1.05 HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE <br />A. The Contractor shall designate a Health and Safety Representative who will <br />oversee all work taken place on the job site including work performed by <br />subcontractors and suppliers. The Health and Safety Representative should be <br />capable of identifying hazards within the job site, take immediate actions to <br />correct hazard and if needed, stop work until hazards have been corrected. <br />B. The Contractor shall authorize the Health and Safety Representative to resolve <br />safety-related issues raised by the City. <br />C. The Health and Safety Representative is responsible to ensure that work is <br />performed in accordance with the Safety Plan. <br />D. At the daily job briefing and/or tailgate conference, Contractor shall provide the <br />City's representative in attendance at the meeting all relevant information on the <br />Work to be performed, its location, and the equipment to be used. <br />E. The Contractor is responsible to ensure that its workers and subcontractors have <br />all safety equipment required for the Work. <br />F. Nothing in this Contract shall be construed as imposing any duty upon the City or <br />any of its employees with regard to, or as constituting any express or implied <br />assumption of control or responsibility over, Project Site safety, or over any other <br />safety conditions relating to employees or agents of the Contractor or any of its <br />Subcontractors, or the public. <br />1.06 ACCIDENT REPORTING <br />A. Serious accidents such as those resulting in treatment of an injury at a medical <br />facility, response to the site by emergency medical personnel or damage to <br />property other than that of the Contractor shall be reported to the Project <br />Manager within twenty-four (24) hours of the occurrence. <br />B. A copy of each accident report, which the Contractor or subcontractors have <br />submitted to their insurance carriers, shall be forwarded to the Project Manager <br />as soon as possible, but under no circumstances shall it be forwarded later than <br />seven (7) calendar days after the accident occurred. <br />PART 2 : PRODUCTS <br />Not Used. <br />PART 3 : EXECUTION <br />Not Used. <br />END OF SECTION 01 35 29 <br />
