The proposed installation of pipe sections and a 36-inch diameter isolation <br />valve on transmission line 2 was removed from the project’s scope of work by the City due to the <br />difficulties and high costs associated with keeping the transmission line in operation while the <br />proposed work was completed. The <br />proposed removal and relocation of the existing Eco-block wall, foundation, and subdrain was <br />removed from the project’s scope of work by the City because the work was no longer necessary <br />when Bid Items 6, 7, and 8 were removed. <br />Remove Bid Item #12 – Trench safety system. The proposed trench safety system was removed <br />from the project’s scope for work by the City because the work was no longer necessary when <br />Bid Items 6, 7, and 8 were removed. <br />New Item #101 – Work Change Directives 1-19. Work change directives 1-19 executed to date <br />had a combined cost of $707,046.34 which was paid via unspent project funds. New Item #101 <br />is being added to the project scope to account for the costs associated with work change <br />directives 1-19 and enable the unbuilt work items to be removed from the project scope. Further <br />justification for work change directives 1-19 is attached. <br />New Item #102 – Excavator and Crane Mobilization/Demobilization Credit. New Item #102 is <br />being added to the project scope to account for a cost credit received by the City resulting from <br />the removal of excavator and crane mobilization/demobilization scope of work. Further <br />justification is attached. <br />New Item #103 – Medium Voltage Cable Credit. New Item #103 is being added to the project <br />scope to account for a cost credit received by the City resulting from a change in the type of <br />medium voltage cable installed during the project. Further justification is attached. <br />New Item #104 – Equitable Adjustment. New Item #104 is being added to the project scope to <br />account for actual costs incurred by the project contractor during mobilization/demobilization and <br />during project delays. The delays are outside of the City of Everett’s or the project contractor’s <br />control but have now been addressed. The project contractor provided written notice as per <br />contractual requirements when seeking additional funds to pay for overhead and management <br />costs associated with the project delay.
