CITY OF EVERETT WEST MARINE VIEW DRIVE/ALVERSON AND 41 ST ST/GRAND AVE <br />PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS <br />STATE FUND# HLP-PB15(032) <br />WO #3630 July 25, 2024 <br />83 <br />1 Incidental pavement patching shall be done only at the direction of the Engineer for <br />2 patching and restoring areas between the back of new sidewalks and adjacent asphalt <br />3 driveways, paving ramps at the ends of sidewalks, and gutters that are adjusted to <br />4 grade. <br />5 <br />6 Asphalt for incidental pavement patching shall be HMA Class ‰ PG 64-22. <br />7 <br />8 5-06.4 Measurement <br />9 <br />10 Measurement of cement concrete pavement patching quantities shall be by the cubic yard. <br />11 Measurement for HMA pavement patch shall be the square yard of patch area. <br />12 Measurement for temporary MC 250 pavement patching and incidental asphalt shall be by <br />13 the ton. <br />14 <br />15 Measurement for Crushed Surfacing Top Course shall be by the ton. <br />16 <br />17 5-06.5 Payment <br />18 <br />19 Compensation for the cost associated with completing the work as described in Sections <br />20 5-04, 5-05 and 5-06 will be made at the unit contract prices bid for the pay items listed <br />21 below: <br />22 <br />23 "Cement Concrete Class 4000, HES, Pavement Patch", per ton, or per cubic yard <br />24 "HMA Class ‰ PG 64-22, Pavement Patch", per ton or per cubic yard <br />25 "Temporary MC 250, Pavement Patch", per ton or per cubic yard <br />26 <br />27 The unit contract price bid for pavement patching of the type required shall be limited to <br />28 the actual quantities used and shall include the costs for all work described herein and not <br />29 otherwise provided for in this section. Labor and materials required to install joints and <br />30 joint materials shall be incidental. Payment for "Temporary MC 250, Pavement Patch" <br />31 shall include reimbursement for removal and disposal of temporary patch materials prior <br />32 to final patching. <br />33 <br />34 The costs of additional MC 250 and crushed surfacing material required to maintain temporary <br />35 pavement patches after the initial installation shall be borne by the Contractor. <br />36 <br />37 Payment for imported backfill shall be paid separately by the appropriate bid items. <br />38 <br />39 If a separate bid item is not provided for tack coat CSS-1, this work shall be considered <br />40 incidental to the available bid items for patching. <br />41 <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 END DIVISION5.RTF <br />45 <br />46 <br />47 END DIVISION 5 <br />48
