CITY OF EVERETT WEST MARINE VIEW DRIVE/ALVERSON AND 41 ST ST/GRAND AVE <br />PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS <br />STATE FUND# HLP-PB15(032) <br />WO #3630 July 25, 2024 <br />36 <br />1 1-07.23.GR1 <br />2 Public Convenience and Safety <br />3 <br />4 1-07.23(1).RTF <br />5 1-07.23(1) Construction Under Traffic <br />6 (May 2, 2017 APWA GSP) <br />7 <br />8 Revise the third sentence of the second paragraph to read: <br />9 <br />10 Accessibility to existing or temporary pedestrian push buttons shall not be impaired; if <br />11 approved by the Contracting Agency activating pedestrian recall timing or other <br />12 accommodation may be allowed during construction. <br />13 <br />14 1-07.23(1).INST1.GR1 <br />15 Section 1-07.23(1) is supplemented with the following: <br />16 <br />17 COE 1-07.23(1).OPT5.Lane Closures.DOCX <br />18 (October 3, 2022) <br />19 Lane, ramp, shoulder, and roadway closures are subject to the following restrictions: <br />20 <br />21 *** West Marine View Drive <br />22 Two way traffic shall be maintained at all times. At no time shall any lane closures be in <br />23 place longer then 72 hours <br />24 <br />25 Alverson Blvd 5 Days before any lane or shoulder closure the Contractor shall notify <br />26 City of Everett Parks of closure. Parks Contact: Cory Rettenmier at 425 257-7314. <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 41st St / Grand Ave No lane closures shall be permitted between 2:30 pm and 6:00pm. <br />30 <br />31 *** <br />32 <br />33 If the Engineer determines the permitted closure hours adversely affect traffic, the <br />34 Engineer may adjust the hours accordingly. The Engineer will notify the Contractor in <br />35 writing of any change in the closure hours. Exceptions to these restrictions may be <br />36 considered by the Engineer on a case-by-case basis following a written request by <br />37 the Contractor. <br />38 <br />39 Lane, ramp, shoulder, and roadway closures are not allowed on any of the following: <br />40 <br />41 1. A holiday, <br />42 <br />43 2. A holiday weekend; holidays that occur on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or <br />44 Monday are considered a holiday weekend. A holiday weekend includes <br />45 Saturday, Sunday, and the holiday. <br />46 <br />47 3. After *** 2:30 P.M. *** on the day prior to a holiday or holiday weekend, and <br />48 <br />49 4. Before *** 7:00 A.M. *** on the day after the holiday or holiday weekend. <br />50 <br />51 5. The two-hour period prior to and the two-hour period after the following <br />52 special events:
