18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS 3741 RMT July 03, 2024 27 entry or right of way, the Contractor will be entitled to an extension of time. The 1 Contractor agrees that such delay shall not be a breach of contract. 2 3 Each property owner shall be given 48 hours notice prior to entry by the Contractor. This 4 includes entry onto easements and private property where private improvements must 5 be adjusted. 6 7 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing, without expense or liability to the 8 Contracting Agency, any additional land and access thereto that the Contractor may 9 desire for temporary construction facilities, storage of materials, or other Contractor 10 needs. However, before using any private property, whether adjoining the work or not, 11 the Contractor shall file with the Engineer a written permission of the private property 12 owner, and, upon vacating the premises, a written release from the property owner of 13 each property disturbed or otherwise interfered with by reasons of construction pursued 14 under this contract. The statement shall be signed by the private property owner, or 15 proper authority acting for the owner of the private property affected, stating that 16 permission has been granted to use the property and all necessary permits have been 17 obtained or, in the case of a release, that the restoration of the property has been 18 satisfactorily accomplished. The statement shall include the parcel number, address, 19 and date of signature. Written releases must be filed with the Engineer before the 20 Completion Date will be established. 21 22 1-08.0.RTF 23 1-08 PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS 24 25 Add the following new section: 26 27 1-08.0 Preliminary Matters 28 (May 25, 2006 APWA GSP) 29 30 1-08.0(1).RTF 31 Add the following new section: 32 33 1-08.0(1) Preconstruction Conference 34 (October 10, 2008 APWA GSP) 35 36 Prior to the Contractor beginning the work, a preconstruction conference will be held 37 between the Contractor, the Engineer and such other interested parties as may be 38 invited. The purpose of the preconstruction conference will be: 39 1. To review the initial progress schedule; 40 2. To establish a working understanding among the various parties associated or 41 affected by the work; 42 3. To establish and review procedures for progress payment, notifications, approvals, 43 submittals, etc.; 44 4. To establish normal working hours for the work; 45 5. To review safety standards and traffic control; and 46 6. To discuss such other related items as may be pertinent to the work. 47 48 The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the preconstruction conference the following: 49
