18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS 3741 RMT July 03, 2024 26 Egress and ingress shall only occur during the hours of allowable lane closures, 1 and: 2 3 1. For exiting an open lane of traffic, by decelerating in a lane that is 4 closed during the allowable hours for lane closures. 5 6 2. For entering an open lane of traffic, by accelerating in a closed lane 7 during the allowable hours for lane closures. 8 9 Traffic control vehicles are excluded from the gross vehicle weight requirement. If 10 placing construction signs will restrict traveled lanes, then the work will be permitted 11 during the hours of allowable lane closures. 12 13 Advance Notification 14 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any traffic impacts related to 15 lane closure, shoulder closure, sidewalk closure, or any combination for the week by 16 12:00 p.m. (noon) Wednesday the week prior to the stated impacts. 17 18 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing ten working days in advance of 19 any traffic impacts related to full roadway closure, ramp closure, or both. 20 21 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any changes to the stated traffic 22 impacts a minimum of 48 hours prior to the traffic impacts. 23 24 1-07.24.RTF 25 1-07.24 Rights of Way 26 (July 23, 2015 APWA GSP) 27 28 Delete this section and replace it with the following: 29 30 Street Right of Way lines, limits of easements, and limits of construction permits are 31 indicated in the Plans. The Contractor’s construction activities shall be confined within 32 these limits, unless arrangements for use of private property are made. 33 34 Generally, the Contracting Agency will have obtained, prior to bid opening, all rights of 35 way and easements, both permanent and temporary, necessary for carrying out the 36 work. Exceptions to this are noted in the Bid Documents or will be brought to the 37 Contractor’s attention by a duly issued Addendum. 38 39 Whenever any of the work is accomplished on or through property other than public 40 Right of Way, the Contractor shall meet and fulfill all covenants and stipulations of any 41 easement agreement obtained by the Contracting Agency from the owner of the private 42 property. Copies of the easement agreements may be included in the Contract 43 Provisions or made available to the Contractor as soon as practical after they have been 44 obtained by the Engineer. 45 46 Whenever easements or rights of entry have not been acquired prior to advertising, 47 these areas are so noted in the Plans. The Contractor shall not proceed with any portion 48 of the work in areas where right of way, easements or rights of entry have not been 49 acquired until the Engineer certifies to the Contractor that the right of way or easement is 50 available or that the right of entry has been received.
