September 11, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli thanked the public commentor and provided comments on the 23rd <br />anniversary of September 11th. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse attended the Safe Streets For All Workshop, and the Helping Hands <br />Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, and provided comments regarding Boeing. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne thanked the public commentor, stated that the Port Gardner <br />Neighborhood Association was cancelled on Monday, as they do not have a place to meet and <br />asked the public for assistance in finding a location. She also attended the Cultural Arts <br />Commission meeting and provided a comment on school zone safety. She requested an update <br />from a previous request regarding the potential for traffic improvements near Jackson <br />Elementary and made a request for a list of layoffs and furloughs the Mayor had mentioned <br />earlier. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management <br />Committee and provided comments on the 23rd anniversary of September 11th. <br /> <br />President Schwab provided comments on the 23rd anniversary of September 11th. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided comments on the agenda budget items <br />and upcoming budget calendar items. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall had no update. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8070 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$2,450,934.52 for the period ending August 24, 2024 through August 30, 2024. <br />
