September 18, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Library Board meeting held last night. <br /> <br />President Schwab provided comments on the Financial Advisory Committee for the Multi- <br />Purpose Facility, and thanked Council Member Fosse for her leadership. He stated the committee <br />plans to bring options in November or December. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson stated Mayor Franklin was absent from the <br />council meeting due to a business trip to Washington D.C., to discuss innovated city housing <br />policy initiatives and grant related work. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall requested a 15-minute executive session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110.1(i) <br />to discuss settlement of two workers’ compensation claims, with possible Council action to <br />follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Rhyne, seconded by Council Member Vogeli, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8072 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$4,736,512.99 for the period ending August 31, 2024 through September 6, 2024. <br /> <br />CALL FOR BIDS – 3RD AVENUE WATER QUALITY TREATMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />To authorize a Call for Bids for the 3rd Avenue Water Quality Treatment Project. <br /> <br />AWARD – 18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />To award the Construction Contract for the 18th Street Pedestrian Improvement Project to <br />Moeco, LLC., of Lake Stevens, WA in the amount of $329,191.61. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT – CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY AND MENTAL HEALTH SALES TAX FUNDS
