ORDINANCE NO. - 2O39 • <br /> A n Ordinance providing for a re-assessment in Local <br /> II <br /> Improvement District No.373 of the City of Everett, for the improve- <br /> 1 <br /> 2 <br /> ment of the bridge leading from the east line of East Grand Avenue <br /> on Everett Avenue to the East line of Railway Avenue, by the removal <br /> 3 <br /> 4 of old lumber, replacing caps, stringers,decking, side walks and <br /> hand rail and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith <br /> 5 <br /> to make a complete improvement in accordance with Resolution No.2929 <br /> 6 <br /> of the City of Everett; creating an assessment district; creating <br /> 7 <br /> a Local Improvement District Fond therefor; providing that said <br /> 3 <br /> 9 <br /> improvement be made by special assessment upon the property in <br /> said district by the mode of payment by bonds and dividing said <br /> 10 <br /> district into a Direct Benefit District and into an Indirect Benefit <br /> 11 <br /> District, <br /> 12 <br /> Whereas, the City council of the City of Everett,tt, by <br /> 13 <br /> resolution io.2887 of the City of Everett declared its intention to <br /> 14 <br /> order the improvement of the bridge leading from the East line of <br /> 15 <br /> East Grand Avenue on Everett Avenue to the Fast line of Railway <br /> 16 <br /> Avenue by the removal of old lumber, replacing caps, stringers, <br /> 17 <br /> decking, side walks and hand rail and doing all other work necessary <br /> 18 <br /> in connection therewith to make a complete improvement according <br /> 19 <br /> to the plans and specifications prepared by the City . igineer, and, <br /> 20 <br /> 21 j Whereas, certain owners of property in the district <br /> 22 described therein appealed to the Superior Court from the confirma- <br /> 23 tion of the assessment roll for said improvement, and, <br /> 24 <br /> Whereas, After a hearing on said appeal the Superior <br /> 25 <br /> Court of jnohomiish County ordered the assessments of the appellant <br /> 26 <br /> reduced, and, <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Whereas, it has, by the City Council been deemed <br /> 29 advisable and necessary to order a re-assessment end to bring <br /> 30 <br /> 31 -1. <br />
