. , ORDINANCE NO. - 201 5 „ 1 An Ordinance regulating the sale of narcotics, providing 2 for the procurring of licenses for the sale of the same and pro- 3 viding penalties for the violation of any of its provisions. 4 5 THE CITY OF ETERETT DOES ORDAIN : 6 Section 1 : It shall be unlawful for any apothecary, 7 to li• ve in..his .rossess;•on pharmacist, druggist or other person or persons,Acto give or 8 away, exchange, barter or oth.eruise dispose of any opium, morphine, 9 cocaine, hydrate of chloral or any like narcotic, the principal 10 ingredient of which is opium, or any narcotic substance or pre- 11 paration derived in any part from and containing as the principal 12 ingredient any opium, morphine, cocaine, hydrate of chloral or any 13 like narcotic, to any person or persons, without first having 14 obtained from the City Clerk a license for the sale of the same 15 as provided in this ordinance. 16 Section 2 : Any pharmacy, drugstore, druggist or other 17 person or persons desiring to engage in the purchase, sale or 18 exchange of opium, morphine, cocaine, hydrate of chloral or any 19 like narcotic, the principal ingredient of which is opium, or 20 any narcotic substance or preparation derived in any part from and 21 containing as the principal ingredient any opium, morphine, cocaine, 22 hydrate of chloral or any like narcotic shall first make application 23 to and shall secure an annual license from the City Clerk of the 24 City of Everett for the sale of the same and pay for said license 25 the sum of $ .00. 26 Secti on 3 .
