October 16, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., October 16, <br />2024, by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Vogeli was expected to be a few <br />minutes late. <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Fosse recited the land acknowledgement. <br />Council Member Vogeli arrived at 6:32 p.m. <br />The minutes of the October 9, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin presented the proposed 2025 Budget message. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received three (3) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Emily Simpson and Jose Villalaz. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Bader commented on his attendance at the Puget Sound Regional Council <br />Growth Management Policy Board and Library Board meetings. <br />Council Member Rhyne provided an update from the Port Gardner neighborhood meeting, a new <br />business opening downtown, and commented on her attendance at the Association of <br />Washington Cities Federal Advocacy meeting. <br />Council Member Vogeli commented on her attendance at a fundraiser for Recovery Café and <br />provided an update on Hope N Wellness Community Peer Services.
