<br />ARTICLE 16 JOC PROCEDURE FOR ORDERING WORK <br />16.1 Initiation of a Job Order. <br />16.1.1 As the need exists, the Contract Administrator will notify the Contractor of a Project, <br />schedule a Joint Scope Meeting, and issue a Notice of Joint Scope Meeting. <br />16.1.2 The Contractor shall attend the Joint Scope Meeting and discuss, at a minimum: <br />a. the work to be performed; <br />b. alternatives for performing the work and value engineering; <br />c. access to the site and protocol for admission; <br />d. any long lead time materials; <br />e. staging area; <br />f. requirements for catalog cuts, technical data, samples and shop drawings; <br />g. requirements for professional services, sketches, drawings, and specifications; <br />h. construction duration, schedule, work hours and any phasing requirements; <br />i. the presence of hazardous materials; <br />j. date on which the Job Order Proposal is due; <br />k. if the Job Order will be a Federally Funded Job Order, the applicable Federal Contract <br />Clauses, such as, for example, Davis-Bacon and DBE requirements. <br />l. Job Order specific insurance (if any) <br />m. Required permits; <br />n. Controlled inspections, testing requirements; <br />o. Value Engineering; <br />p. Any other items as required by the City <br />16.1.3 Upon completion of the joint scoping process, the Contractor will prepare a draft Detailed <br />Scope of Work referencing any sketches, drawings, photographs, and specifications required <br />to document accurately the work to be accomplished. The City shall review the Detailed <br />Scope of Work and request any required changes or modifications. When an acceptable <br />Detailed Scope of Work is complete, the City will issue a Request for Proposal that will <br />require the Contractor to prepare a Job Order Proposal within a certain period of time. The <br />Detailed Scope of Work will be the basis on which the Contractor will develop its Job Order <br />Proposal and the City will evaluate the same. The Contractor does not have the right to <br />refuse to perform any task or any work in connection with a particular Project. <br />
