Category 2:Sensitive information <br /> STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS: These statements set forth our standard terms and conditions. <br /> Complete Agreement.Acceptance of Davison Roofing's proposal constitutes acceptance by the customer of the entire contract. <br /> 1. No modification of these terms shall be binding unless agreed to in writing by Davison Roofing and the customer. <br /> 2. Limited Lifetime Warranty:Davison Roofing provides a limited workmanship&material warranty upon payment in full on complete <br /> roof installations for the lifetime of the roof selected for composition roofing.Labor warranties on wood/TD products are 5-years.There <br /> is no warranty on roof repairs. Davison Roofing is not liable for prior damage.All terms of the full installation warranty have been <br /> provided and are incorporated in this agreement. <br /> 3. Labor:All work will be performed in a workmanlike manner in accordance with current industry practices. <br /> 4. Insurance: Davison Roofing has a current General Contractor's License, Liability Insurance, & bond. All workers are covered by <br /> Insurance.The homeowner is to carry current fire and any other necessary insurance.License,Bond,and Insurance information can be <br /> verified with the WA State Dept.of Labor and Industries. <br /> 5. Permits:If permits are needed,we will obtain them for you if requested and the cost of the permit,plus tax will be billed to you. <br /> 6. Clean up/dump:Davison Roofing will clean up and remove all roofing debris.Debris removal does not include removal of debris in <br /> the attic.Only roofing materials may be put into the container and is for the exclusive use of Davison Roofing.Failure to abide by this <br /> will incur a minimum $300 charge plus actual fees of disposal. After the container is removed, Davison Roofing will magnet the <br /> driveway for nails as soon as possible.Please do not use the driveway until we have notified you that it is safe to do so.Container will <br /> be placed on plywood in the driveway so we can throw roofing debris directly into the container unless otherwise stated. <br /> 7. Hazardous Materials: This bid does not include disposal/removal of hazardous waste/material such as asbestos or mold. Davison <br /> Roofing is not responsible for any mold abatement for any reason. If found, the homeowner is responsible for hiring and paying a <br /> certified hazardous waste removal contractor to remove any/all hazardous waste/material. <br /> 8. Counter Flashing:Counter flashings on the chimney is considered part of the chimney and will not be replaced. <br /> 9. Metal flashings/Ridge vent/nails:All metal flashings are 26 gauge with a baked on Kynar enamel finish and are brown or black. 1x3" <br /> gutter metal is also called starter metal.It is a metal flashing used underneath roofing;it is not a gutter system.If ridge vent is selected <br /> it will have an external baffle.Nails are hot dipped and galvanized; and can poke through soffits as nail size must be long enough to <br /> meet code. <br /> 10. Roof structures/Material delivery: On rare occasions, a roof structure or driveway may be unable to manage the added weight of <br /> delivered materials or containers.Davison Roofing is not certified to inspect these items for strength/defects and is not responsible for <br /> damage should it occur. If you are concerned about your roof structure or driveway,you may wish to consult a structural engineer. <br /> Delivery companies may require homeowners to sign a release before they drive onto the premises.If permission is not granted by the <br /> homeowner to deliver materials on the roof top for any reason,the homeowner is responsible for extra labor on a per bundle basis to <br /> hand load the materials onto the roof.Contractor assumes no liability for interior damage during normal roofing operations. <br /> 11. Skylights/gutter guards: Old skylights can crack when replacing the flashing;however,we do handle them with care. If we have to <br /> replace a skylight,we will charge only the amount we pay for the skylight.For new skylight installation,we only provide the skylight, <br /> roofing and flashing work;no interior work or sheetrock is included.We are not responsible for nail pops in skylight wells.Some gutter <br /> guards are not compatible with the roofing system and may need to be removed to prevent lifting of the first row of shingles. <br /> 12. Scheduling: We make every effort to limit delays; however, they can occur due to weather, etc. We will do our best to keep you <br /> informed of any such delays. <br /> 13. Specialized Roof Attachments: A certified installer for any specialized equipment may be needed to remove and/or re-install such <br /> specialized equipment at the homeowner's expense.Davison Roofing is not responsible for the working order of roof attachments such <br /> as antennas,cooling and heating appliances,etc.If you have solar panels,all panels/brackets must be removed prior to the start date. <br /> 14. Preparations(Tear-off):Davison Roofing will remove the number of layers as specified in this proposal.Davison Roofing will make <br /> every effort to locate all layers on a structure;however,additional layers of roofing,on rare occasions,may be found once removal has <br /> begun.If additional layers are found,they will be removed at$85/square(plus dump).Roofing must be installed on plywood,if plywood <br /> is not installed on the roof deck,we install''/2"CDX plywood on the entire roof deck and it will be an additional charge. <br /> 15. Time and Materials:Any additional work not outlined in this proposal will be billed on a time plus materials basis($75.00 per man; <br /> per hour;plus,tax).Additional work could include but is not limited to dry rot,damaged siding,delaminated plywood,and broken skip <br /> sheathing.Rotten fascia boards/rafters will be replaced if homeowner requests replacement in writing on a T&M basis.The homeowner <br /> authorizes in advance the replacement of damaged items,if necessary,to complete the roofing process.Davison Roofing will contact <br /> the homeowner to verify any additional work needed to complete the roofing process.If that is not possible,we will provide photographs <br /> to the homeowner. <br /> 16. Plywood Replacement:'h"CDX plywood is billed at$50 per sheet for labor&dump,plus the market price of the plywood per sheet, <br /> plus tax for full sheet replacements.This includes removal/disposal of bad sheet of plywood,new plywood,&re-installation. <br /> 17. Materials and Colors:All material is guaranteed to be as specified.Homeowner to select material/color&obtain all necessary HOA <br /> approval. If upgrade options are not initialed by the homeowner,the non-upgraded material will be installed on your roof. If special <br /> order materials are chosen,the cost of the material is due at the time the order is placed. This payment can be made directly to the <br /> material supplier by the homeowner.The price on the contract is to install your roof;if we are short material,you will not be charged <br /> extra&if there are extra materials it is the property of Davison Roofing Inc. <br /> 18. Obtaining Financing: Davison Roofing must be notified if a loan or financing is being obtained for full or partial payment on the <br /> contract.If you are intending to get financing or a loan,please initial here: .If you have indicated that you intend to obtain a <br /> loan to pay for this contract,you have the right to cancel this contract within three(3)days of the date when the lender provides you <br /> with your truth-in-lending disclosure. <br /> 19. Cancellation:The customer may cancel this contract by written notice at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the <br /> date of acceptance and agreement.The customer must send notice of such cancellation by certified mail to the business address shown <br /> on this contract. Contractor reserves the right to cancel.
