CITY OF EVERETT <br /> EVE R E TT Public Works Department <br /> WASHINGTON <br /> Owner: Yvonne Ricker <br /> Job Address: 715 33rd Street <br /> Plan Check No: B2403-147 <br /> RE: Building Permit Review Letter <br /> Dear Legacy Decking, <br /> In response to the application for a building permit,the plans have been examined and you are advised <br /> that revisions may be necessary before a permit can be issued. Please review and respond to the <br /> comments below. <br /> Structural <br /> 1. In the calculations there is a hot tub dead load listed in the dead loads.This hot tub dead load is not <br /> used in the calculations and there does not appear to be a hot tub located on the deck on the plans. <br /> If a hot tub is intended to be placed on the deck, revise the calculations, and show it on the plans. <br /> IRC 301.1 <br /> 2. The proposed deck footing (ground screw) is lacking sufficient documentation of the proposed use <br /> and requirements: <br /> a. The plans indicate an ICC ES Product Certification has been completed but no ICC-ES <br /> Evaluation Report number was provided. Please provide this report number. <br /> i. A Ground Screw IMES Evaluation Report (ESR-4226)was reviewed that <br /> required a site-specific geotechnical report and special inspections per IBC <br /> 1705.1.1. Please provide the specific ICC-ES report for the Ground Screw that is <br /> specified for this project or provide site-specific geotechnical reporting and <br /> special inspection requirements on the plans. <br /> b. The table provide on the plans has four ground screws,the option to be used is not <br /> indicated. If sufficient information is provided for the comments above, please indicate <br /> which ground screw option should be used. <br /> c. On the plans,the attachment of the ground screw to the 6x6 post is via post hanger. <br /> Please provide a detail of this connection that meets the provided ICC-ES Evaluation <br /> Report's requirements. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building <br /> Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. <br /> Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. <br /> All codes cited refer to the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC),the 2021 International Building <br /> Code (IBC), and/or the 2021 Washington State Residential Energy Code (WSREC), as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and adopted by the City of Everett. <br /> S 3200 Cedar Street © 425.257.8810 cbearman@everettwa.gov <br /> Everett,WA 98201 8am-12pm, 1pm-3pm everettwa.gov/permits <br />
