d. Adult use businesses are permitted uses, consistent with the purpose and <br /> intent of this zone, provided they meet the Locational Requirements of Section <br /> 39.025.A. <br /> Is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 7. W-C Waterfront Commercial Zone. The purpose of the waterfront commercial <br /> zone is to: <br /> a. Provide for and protect areas of the city for tourism services and <br /> commercial activities which are dependent upon or are enhanced by a location <br /> near Everett's waterfront areas; <br /> b. Further the goals and policies of both the Everett comprehensive plan and <br /> the shoreline management master program relating to public access to and <br /> enjoyment of the shoreline; and <br /> c. Establish standards which promote high quality development implemented <br /> through the shoreline permit process, where applicable. <br /> d. Adult use businesses are permitted uses, consistent with the purpose and <br /> intent of this zone, provided they meet the Locational Requirements of Section <br /> 39.025.A. <br /> Section 7: Section 1.050.D.1 of Ordinance #1671-89, as amended(EMC 19.01.050.D.1), <br /> which reads as follows: <br /> 1. M-S Maritime Services Zone. The purpose of the maritime services zone is to: <br /> a. Provide and protect areas of the city for marine-related commerce; <br /> b. Preserve Everett's "working waterfront" character; <br /> c. Further the goals of the Everett general plan and shoreline master program <br /> relating to public access to and enjoyment of the shoreline; and <br /> d. Provide for uses and review processes which strike a balance between the needs <br /> of water-dependent industrial uses and limited commercial activities as listed in the <br /> permitted uses of this Title, and the responsibility of the city to provide public access to <br /> the shoreline. <br /> e. Adult use businesses are permitted uses, consistent with the purpose and intent of <br /> this zone, provided they meet the Locational Requirements of Section 39.025.A. <br /> Is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 1.
