Section 45: Section 27 of Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended (EMC Chapter 19.27), is <br /> hereby amended by the addition of the following, to be codified as EMC 19.27.040: <br /> 27.040 Map number 27-1, Aggregates extraction, related manufacturing activity. The <br /> following regulations shall apply to the area identified by Map No. 27-1: <br /> A. Manufacturing activities which comply with the standards of the M-1 zone shall <br /> be permitted subject to Review Process I. <br /> B. Related manufacturing includes asphalt or concrete batch plants, cement products <br /> manufacturing, and other similar activities related to aggregates mining occurring <br /> on site. <br /> C. Related manufacturing activities existing as of January 13, 1990 may continue in <br /> the same capacity. Any change in the type of manufacturing activities on such <br /> sites which do not comply with the M-1 zone permitted uses and standards shall <br /> be subject to review process III, and shall be limited to the area indicated by map <br /> number 27-1. The Review Authority shall establish additional standards and may <br /> impose conditions which are necessary to make such manufacturing areas <br /> compatible with surrounding properties. <br /> D. Areas reclaimed from aggregates mining shall be limited to other permitted M-1 <br /> uses and subject to the standards of the M-1 zone. <br /> Section 46: Section 28 of Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended(EMC Chapter 19.28), is <br /> hereby amended by the addition of the following, which shall be codified as EMC <br /> 19.28.010. <br /> 28.010 Basic Development Standards. See Table 6.1 in Chapter 6 for the basic development <br /> standard that apply to uses hereafter established in the M-M Zone. Additional development <br /> standards are listed in Section 28.020. <br /> Section 47: Section 28.020 of Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended by Section 15 of <br /> Ordinance No. 1849-92, (EMC 19.28.020), which reads as follows: <br /> 28.020 Additional Development Standards in the M-M Zone. <br /> A. Building Design. <br /> 1. Exterior building materials shall be selected so as not to project or reflect natural <br /> or artificial lighting or glare into residential areas. <br /> 2. Mechanical equipment located on the roof, facade, or external portion of a <br /> building shall be architecturally screened by including the equipment in the <br /> building or site design so as not to be visible from adjacent properties or public <br /> streets. <br />
