I <br /> 1 <br /> when such building or place is occupied by the one to whom such <br /> 2 <br /> heat is undertaken to be furnished, keep and maintain there- <br /> 3 in a healthful temperature, at all times complying with <br /> 4 <br /> all laws and ordinances pertaining to and regulating humidity <br /> 5 and ventilation, and it shall be unlawful for such persons <br /> 6 to fail, neglect or refuse to keep and maintain such health- <br /> 7 ful, temperature therein. In all tenements, apartment <br /> 8 houses, inns, hotels, stores, office buildings and lodging <br /> 9 houses, the owners and proprietors shall be presumed to <br /> 10 have undertaken to furnish artificial heatfor and on behalf <br /> 11 of all tenants and guests therein unless a specific agree- <br /> 12 ment to the contrary is expressly shown, but this provision <br /> 13 shall not be deemed to excuse or relieve from prosecution <br /> 14 amy other person undertaking to furnish artificia seat for <br /> 15 or on behalf of said owners or proprietors. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 section 7 : The Health officer and his duly authorized <br /> 18 agents shall have the right at all reasonable hours to enter <br /> 19 any building orplace coming under the provisions of this <br /> 20 ordinance and to place and maintain therein recording ther- <br /> 21 moneters or other instruments for the gauging and measuring <br /> 22 of heat , and it shall be unlawful to interfere or obstruct <br /> 23 said officer in so doing. <br /> 24 ection8 : The provisions of this ordinance shall not <br /> 25 be deemed or held to apply to a maximum temperature of more <br /> 26 than seventy (70 ) degrees 1 ahrenheit in any of the above <br /> 27 mentioned places during such times as the natural temperature <br /> 28 may be above sevety (70) degrees, nor shall the provisions <br /> 29 of this ordinance be deemed or held to apply to any building <br /> 30 occupied by one family only and used exclusively as a private <br /> 31 dwelling . <br /> -3. <br />
