Public dances <br /> 1 shall not be held, or dance-halls or dancing-schools opened for in- <br /> struction or entertainment , on Sunday. 1? o public dances, dance-halls, <br /> 2 <br /> or dancing-schools shall be condud .ed later than 12:P.1M, : but the <br /> 3 <br /> Commissioner of Public Safety shall have at hority* to issue special <br /> 4 <br /> permits to conduct public dances to a later hour, to be determined by <br /> 5 <br /> him, No person under the age of eighteen years shall be permitted <br /> 6 <br /> to attend any public dance without the escort of his or her Parent or <br /> 7 <br /> guardian. Any person under the age of eighteen, who shall, by aff- <br /> 8 <br /> irmative misrepresentation of age, obtain admission to, or permiss- <br /> 9 <br /> ion to remain in, any public dance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Section 7 : Police officers and inspectors in theHealth Department <br /> 12 shall a nays have free access to public dances, dance-halls and danc- <br /> 13 ing-schools, for the purpose of inspection and to enforce compliance <br /> 14 with the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> 15 <br /> Section 8 : No person shall engage in the business of dancing- <br /> 16 <br /> master as in this ordinance defined, without first having obtained a <br /> 17 <br /> permit so to do from the Commissioner of Public Saifety, Such permit <br /> 18 may upon payment of an annual fee of 0.00 <br /> xsinieXL be issued ganualesvoox .. x ini <br /> ivafr <br /> 19 <br /> *4e20x/kgrzfg x and shall be granted only to persons known to be of <br /> 20 <br /> good moral characte4. Any permit granted pursuant to this Section <br /> 21 <br /> may be revoked by the Commissioner of Public Safety, after a hearing <br /> 22 <br /> held upon three days' written notice, and the revocation of any such <br /> 23 <br /> permit by the Commissioner` of Public Safety shall befinal. Any <br /> 24 <br /> person procuring a permit as dancing-master under the terms of this <br /> 25 <br /> ordinance shall be deemed to have thereby consented to the provisions <br /> 26 <br /> of this Section with respect to revocation. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Section 9 : : Every permit issued to an applicant as provided in <br /> 29 Section 8 hereof, shall entitle the holder thereof to engage in <br /> 30 business asdancing- master in or about dancing-school or dance- <br /> 31 hall sicbtuarauraereaskiematztlittiettillakas provided in Section 8 of this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> • <br /> -4- <br />
