It is further understood and agreed that none of the services <br />performed by the City’s Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project <br />status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and <br />managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. <br />1-08.4(2) Special Construction Constraints <br />(******) <br />Refer to 1-08.0(2) for work hours. <br />Refer to 1-07.23(1) for construction under traffic and 1.07.23(1)A for general traffic <br />requirements. <br />Provide notice in accordance with 8-20.3(1) of these Special Provisions to City of Everett <br />Traffic Department before cutting induction loop wiring. <br />Pay particular attention to maximum length allowed between sampling points on new <br />water main in accordance with 7-09.3(24)H FINAL FLUSHING AND TESTING. <br />Phase construction in such a manner that either S 3rd Avenue or S 2nd Avenue south of <br />47th Street SE maintains one traffic lane open in both directions at all times. <br />City may approve full block street closures as part of Contractor’s Temporary Traffic <br />Control Plan, as long as no more than two consecutive blocks are closed at a time along <br />S 3rd or S 2nd Avenue. Maintain pedestrian access during full block closures. Temporary <br />roadway and sidewalk patching shall be completed prior to re-opening a closed block of <br />street. <br />Pay particular attention to maximum length allowed between sampling points on new <br />water main in accordance with 7-09.3(24)H FINAL FLUSHING AND TESTING. <br />Upon completion of pipe installation and trench backfilling to specifications, promptly <br />restore street, driveway and sidewalk surfaces using Temporary Pavement Patch in <br />accordance with Section 5-06.3(6) TEMPORARY PAVEMENT PATCHING and permit <br />public use and access for City inspection activities. <br />Parking spaces are normally very limited in most areas of the project and the Contractor <br />will be required to cooperate with the City in resolving parking issues. In general, <br />businesses and residents who rely on on-street parking and are displaced by the <br />construction shall be given priority for the nearest available parking location. The <br />Contractor’s employees may be required to park their personal vehicles away from the <br />area of construction. <br />This 1-8.4(2) is not a complete list of all constraints that may be in the Contract <br />Documents. Contractor is responsible for all constraints in the Contract Documents. <br />1-08.5 Time for Completion <br />Delete all of 1-08.5 and substitute the following: <br />1-08.5(1) General <br />The Contractor shall complete all physical Contract Work within the number of “working <br />days” stated in the Contract Provisions or as extended by the Engineer in accordance <br />with Section 1-08.8. Every day will be counted as a “working day” unless it is a <br />nonworking day or an Engineer determined unworkable day. A nonworking day is <br />defined as a Saturday, a Sunday, a whole or half day on which the Contract specifically <br />prohibits Work on the critical path of the Contractor’s approved progress schedule, or <br />one of these holidays: January 1, the third Monday of January, the third Monday of <br />February, Memorial Day, June 19, July 4, Labor Day, November 11, Thanksgiving Day, <br />the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. When any of these holidays fall on a <br />Sunday, the following Monday shall be counted a nonworking day. When the holiday
