CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />3rd Ave Water Quality Facility Division 7 – STORM, SEWER, WATER September 12, 2024 <br />WO No. – UP 3775 SP – 171 <br />DIVISION 7 – DRAINAGE STRUCTURES, STORM SEWERS, SANITARY SEWERS, <br />WATER MAINS, AND CONDUITS <br />7-02 CULVERTS <br /> 7-02.1 Description <br />Revise the first paragraph of 7-02.1 to read as follows: <br />This Work consists of constructing culverts of the various types and classes as shown <br />on the Plans and in accordance with COE Standard Drawings, the Standard <br />Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br />7-02.2 Materials <br />Delete the first paragraph and material list of 7-02.2 and substitute the following: <br />Crushed Surfacing Base Course 9-03.9(3) Standard Specifications <br />Gravel Borrow 9-03.14(1) Standard Specifications <br />Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe 9-05.3(2) Standard Specifications <br />Solid Wall PVC Culvert Pipe 9-05.12(1) Standard Specifications <br />Profile Wall PVC Culvert Pipe 9-05.12(2) Standard Specifications <br />Corrugated Polyethylene Culvert Pipe 9-05.19 Standard Specifications <br />Mortar 9-20.4 Standard Specifications <br /> <br />7-02.3 Construction Requirements <br /> <br />7-02.3(1) Placing Culvert Pipe – General <br /> <br />Revise the last paragraph to read as follows: <br />For pipes 36-inches and less in diameter, the ends shall be mitered in accordance with the <br />Standard Plans. Culverts 60 feet in length, or longer, shall be provided with trash rack/debris <br />barriers in accordance with City of Everett Standard drawings, unless prohibited by <br />environmental restrictions. <br /> <br />7-02.4 Measurement <br />Delete the first paragraph of 7-02.4 and substitute the following: <br />Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br />described in Division B – Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section <br />1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br />7-02.5 Payment <br />Delete all paragraphs in 7-02.5 and substitute the following: <br />Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be <br />as described in Division B – Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and <br />Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br />7-04 STORM SEWERS <br />7-04.1 Description <br />Revise the first paragraph in 7-04.1 to read as follows: <br />This Work consists of constructing storm sewers to lines and grades as shown on the <br />Plans and in accordance with COE Standard Drawings, the Standard Specifications and <br />these Special Provisions.
