Yes unfortunately, Niels is no longerwith the City. Because he had already
signed off on the application and the permits were issued, we typically do not reassign a Planner
until a formal Revision has been submitted and/or planning inspections have been requested.
Species substitutions are pretty common and provided they meet the provisions of EMC 19.35 and
any other project specific conditions (if applicable) we tend not to have objections. That said, the
Land Use Manager is retiring shortly and I am transitioning into the role; I am reviewing the current
workloads of all Planners this week and will take this into consideration to assign a planner to review
your requested revisions. In the meantime, I have added a review line in our permitting system to
track your request and upon assignment, the reviewer name will be updated accordingly. Note that
the line has been added to PW2103-031 since that is the permit for site work.
The assigned planner will be in touch with any comments, corrections, or approvals. If you have
further Planning questions in the meantime, please let me know.
Thanks,
Kelsey Heyd
Planner I Community, Planning & Economic Development
