Revisions to <br /> the drawings as a result of these responses are annotated on the set of drawings with clouds and <br /> Revision Mark 1, dated 01/10/2023. <br /> Corrections <br /> 1. Sheet G0.00 states the occupancy as A-2 and B. Note that the occupant load does not appear <br /> to exceed 50 and maybe considered as a B occupancy per IBC Section 303.1.2. The occupancy <br /> should be confirm and the occupant load specified in the drawings. Note that if the occupancy <br /> is A-2, additional requirements apply including but not limited to two exits, panic hardware, exit <br /> signs, and interior and exterior egress lighting. See also IEBC Chapter 10. <br /> RESPONSE: We have revised the drawings to specify the occupancy as B / S-1 at the storage <br /> space. Please see the building analysis section on Sheet-G0.00 for reference. In this revision we <br /> have also included the square footage and occupant load of each space, and a total occupant <br /> load calculation on sheet A2.02. <br /> 2. The proposed project includes a large storage area. The following comments should be <br /> addressed: <br /> a. Sheet G0.00 should state S-1 in the occupancies. <br /> b. The building is understood to be a B-occupancy. The proposed use would change the <br /> occupancy to include S-1. This is an occupancy change per IEBC Chapter 10. Per IEBC Section <br /> 1011.6.1, this is a higher risk occupancy are requiring modifications to the building for fire <br /> protection. Details for the exterior walls should be submitted for review. Alternatively, <br /> documentation substantiating that the existing building has been previously permitted as an S-1 <br /> occupancy should be submitted for review. <br /> RESPONSE: In this revision,we are including S-1 in the occupancies on the coversheet G0.00 under <br /> building analysis. We have also revised the drawing to show wall assemblies(plan detail W1&W2) <br /> of the existing exterior walls on sheet G2.02, which meet the fire protection requirements for this <br /> space per code. Please see sheet G0.00 and G2.02 for reference. <br /> ) 2 <br />
