V <br /> 1 proposition to be submitted to the qualified voters thereat , and the <br /> 2 form of ballots to be cast for or against the said proposition, as <br /> 3 provided in this ordinance, by publication of such notice in each <br /> 4 issue of the city official paper during a period of ten days. <br /> 5 <br /> Section 8: The system or plan proposed and the proposition <br /> 6 <br /> submitted, shall be voted upon in the following manner, to-wit : <br /> 7 <br /> Every voter at said election desiring to vote in favor of said <br /> 8 <br /> proposed system or plan, and the issuance of the bonds mentioned and <br /> 9 <br /> described in Sections two and four of this ordinance, shall vote a <br /> 10 <br /> ballot containing the following statement of the said proposition <br /> 11 <br /> by placing a cross (X) in the square printed upon said ballot opno- <br /> 12 <br /> site and at the right of the said statement, to-wit : <br /> 13 <br /> IN FAVOR of a system or plan for acquiring, owning and operati <br /> 14 <br /> the electric light and power system now used in said city of Everett <br /> 15 <br /> for the purpose of providing said city and its inhabitants with <br /> 16 <br /> electrical energy for light, heat , fuel and power purposes, public <br /> 17 <br /> and private, and operating the same with electricity purchased by <br /> 18 <br /> the city of Everett or generated by it; and for constructing, main- <br /> 19 <br /> taining, and operating as a part of said system a hydro-electric <br /> 20 <br /> plant or plants upon the Sultan River or its tributaries with such <br /> 21 <br /> auxiliary steam power plants and transmission lines as may be nec- <br /> 22 <br /> essary to fully carry out said plans and for the issuance and sale of <br /> 23 <br /> special light and power revenue coupon bonds in the sum of ;2,000, <br /> 24 000.00, maturing serially on the 1st day of January, 1926, and on <br /> 25 the first day of January of each and every year thereafter until <br /> 26 <br /> January 1, 1941, inclusive, bearing interest at a rate of not more <br /> 27 <br /> than six per cent (6%) per annum, payable out of the gross revenues <br /> 28 <br /> from said liSat, heat, fuel and power system, after deducting the <br /> 29 <br /> costs of operation and maintenance of said system, all as set out in <br /> 30 <br /> ordinance number of the city of Everett . <br /> 31 <br /> -10- <br />
