Details should be provided in the construction drawings <br /> to fire-proof the penetrations. The details should specify listed tested <br /> assemblies. Where the exception of IBC Section 714.3.2 is used, a detail <br /> diagraming the prescribed requirements should be provided. See IBC <br /> Sections 107.2.1 and 714.3. <br /> Response: <br /> Except for accessible unit all doors are replacements to existing doors. No <br /> additional penetrations are proposed. Replacement doors shall be rated for <br /> 1/3 hr per IBC 2015 Table 716.5. New doors shall be tested per IBC 716.5.1. <br /> A note has been added to the floor plans to this effect. <br /> The new door and frame installed to serve the accessible unit to be a rated <br /> assembly for insertion into'a one-hour rated wall. Door shall be rated 1/3hr <br /> per IBC 2015 Table 716.5. Both door and frame shall be tested per IBC <br /> 716.5.1. A note has been added to the floor plans to this effect. <br /> Existing wall outlet and switches are to remaining existing rough-in <br /> locations. Only devices within boxes are proposed to be replaced per IEBC <br /> Section 503. Now new penetrations in rated walls for electrical devices are <br /> proposed.
